What Types of Events Do You Cover?

From corporate conferences to music festivals to ribbon cuttings, here's the kind of event videography and coverage we do — with real clients and real footage.

Corporate & Conference Coverage: HMA Mortgage Sales Rally

April 2025 · Embassy Suites, St. Augustine Beach

Project at a glance

  • Client: HMA Mortgage — national lender, licensed in 35+ states
  • Event: 2-day sales rally · Embassy Suites St. Augustine Beach · April 2025
  • Crew: 3 cameras (1 stationary, 2 roaming)
  • Captured: keynotes, breakouts, panels, Q&As · 12 attendee testimonials
  • Delivered: 30-sec reel (next day) · 2-min recap + 12 testimonials + 4 product videos (1 week) · custom 2D logo
  • Result: used across client site + socials; rebooking + ongoing-editing inquiry

We cover the full range of corporate events — sales rallies, conferences, award nights, and retreats. A recent example:

First Sight Films filmed HMA Mortgage's Sales Rally at Embassy Suites St. Augustine Beach. HMA's a national mortgage lender, and they flew their whole team in, so we covered all of it.

We ran multiple cameras through the keynotes, breakouts, panels, and Q&As, plus all the stuff in between: team-building, games, giveaways, people connecting. We shot the main sessions in the Anastasia Ballroom and out on the Anastasia Terrace, then pulled folks into the Surf Crest Ballroom — the Atlantic and the St. Augustine Pier right behind them — for attendee testimonials and HMA's product videos.

Turnaround's where it counted — a social reel in their hands the very next day, then the recap, the testimonials, and the product videos inside the week, plus a custom animated logo for them to keep using.

"Wow, the videos that Diego and the team created for our corporate Sales Rally were absolutely spectacular! They completely captured our vibe (and definitely made us look cool!)! They were tuned into our goals and objectives, and delivered a product that went above and beyond!"

— Rachael Tresch, Director of Sales & Marketing Strategy, HMA Mortgage (Google, May 2025)

HMA put the videos up across their site and socials, and came back asking about rebooking and ongoing editing.

Music Festival Event Coverage

September 2025 · Sing Out Loud Festival, St. Augustine

Project at a glance

  • Client: SJC Cultural Events (also runs the St. Augustine Amphitheatre + Ponte Vedra Concert Hall)
  • Relationship: 3 years (2023–2025)
  • Event: Local Showcase (month-long, downtown) + Live Wildly Showcase (2-day, Francis Field)
  • Crew: 4–5 (videographers, drone operator, photographers)
  • Delivered: per-day recaps within 48 hrs · 15–20 sec social clips · same-day photo edits · ~400 images (2025)
  • Proof: photos ran in Ponte Vedra Recorder + Jacksonville Business Journal · 13,000 IG likes/impressions in 3 days
  • Festival scale (context, not ours): 34,000+ across the month · 25,000 at the Live Wildly Showcase · ~$9M local impact · $130K+ raised in charitable donations to Florida wildlife corridor preservation

First Sight Films has covered the Sing Out Loud Festival for three years running. Sing Out Loud is produced by SJC Cultural Events (SJCCE), the St. Johns County nonprofit that also runs the St. Augustine Amphitheatre and the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall — so the same team that trusts us with the festival trusts us with their venues. It's one piece of our broader St. Augustine video production work.

The festival comes in two parts, and we cover both — the free Local Showcase across downtown all September, and the paid Live Wildly main event at Francis Field, headlined by major national acts.

We help SJCCE plan the content capture so the turnaround keeps up with the event. We deliver a recap film for each day, cut social clips from every day — drone shots of the stage during the headliner, the big moments — and edit event photos same-day, pulling images right after an act steps off stage so the festival can post that night.

The work doesn't stop when the festival does. SJCCE stores our footage and reuses it for the next year's paid ad campaigns and organic social. Our festival and concert photography ran with local news coverage in the Ponte Vedra Recorder and the Jacksonville Business Journal, and drew strong engagement on the festival's own Instagram. We're the team SJCCE trusts to document it.

Cultural & Heritage Event Coverage: Fort Mose Jazz & Blues

February 2025 · Fort Mose Historic State Park

First Sight Films covered the Fort Mose Jazz & Blues festival for the St. Johns Cultural Events team — a night concert at Fort Mose Historic State Park, the site of the first free Black settlement in what's now the United States. The setting carries weight, and the coverage had to hold both the music and the history.

We ran a multi-camera setup on the performances and worked the grounds for the crowd, the dusk light, and the details that tie the night to the place. Because the event runs after dark, low-light shooting was the technical challenge — exposing for stage lighting while keeping the venue readable.

We delivered a recap film plus social cuts the team could run across their channels to carry the event's reach past the one night and into the next year's promotion. Read more about what it takes to capture live music at Fort Mose Jazz & Blues.

Ribbon Cuttings & Grand Openings

March 2026 · St. Augustine & St. Johns County Visitor Information Center

Project at a glance

  • Client: Consulate General of Ireland, Miami (found us via "event videographer in St. Augustine"; we replied same day)
  • Event: Irish Diaspora exhibit opening · St. Augustine Visitor Center · March 2026
  • Crew: 2 cameras
  • Captured: keynote speakers (flown in from Ireland), musical performances, attendees, b-roll
  • Delivered: 30-sec social reel + full captioned 2-angle keynote video
  • Result: ran as a paid month-long ad campaign promoting the exhibit

When the Consulate General of Ireland in Miami needed video for the opening of their St. Augustine exhibit, they Googled "event videographer in St. Augustine" and reached out to three of us. Two didn't answer for three weeks. First Sight Films answered the same day — and got the job.

First Sight Films filmed the opening of the exhibit on the Irish diaspora in St. Augustine at the St. Augustine & St. Johns County Visitor Information Center. The exhibit tells the story of the oldest known St. Patrick's Day parade in the Americas — which started right here in St. Augustine in 1600. The Consulate flew its speakers in from Ireland for the opening, including Irish Government Minister Niamh Smyth and faculty from University College Dublin and the Royal Irish Academy of Music.

We covered the full remarks from the keynote speakers, the musical performances, and attendees taking in the new exhibit, plus b-roll throughout. We delivered two pieces: a social reel built to advertise the exhibit and drive attendance, and a full keynote video of the two main speakers.

"Diego, we just had a chance to review the video. It's fantastic! You really did such a brilliant job."

— Sarah Kavanagh, Consul General of Ireland in Miami

Event Coverage for Colleges & Universities

Commencements, conferences, homecomings, and campaign content — coverage built for campus communications teams.

For commencement, we shoot photography. Flagler College brings us in to photograph its graduation ceremonies — the processions, the handshakes on stage, the families outside — delivered as edited images the college can use across its channels. See our Flagler College work →

For campus conferences, summits, and speaker events, we bring the same multi-camera video coverage we run for corporate clients: keynotes, panels, and attendee moments, cut into recap films and social clips. See how we covered a two-day conference →

Homecomings, galas, and fundraising pushes work the same way — photo and video coverage that gives admissions and advancement teams content they can keep using long after the event.

Event Coverage Questions

How much does event coverage cost?

Most event projects range from $1,200 to $9,500+, depending on how many cameras, how big the crew, and what you need delivered. The tiers above will get you close; the call gets you exact.

What do I actually get, and when?

Typically a highlight or recap film plus social cutdowns, with keynote, panel, award, or testimonial captures on the larger tiers. Turnaround is photos and a 20–30 second recap within 72 hours, with full films in 2–3 weeks (7 business days on our Rush tier), and we'll give you an exact date when we quote.

Can you deliver content during the event, not just after?

Yes, and it's one of the things producers hire us for. We turn same-day and next-day social cutdowns while the event's still live — at Sing Out Loud we edit photos the moment an act steps off stage so the festival posts that night, and HMA had a 30-second reel the day after their rally. Full recaps usually land within 2–3 weeks (7 business days on our Rush tier).

Do you shoot photo and video at the same event?

Yes — a lot of our event work is both, one team covering video and stills so you're not juggling two vendors. At HMA's rally we ran video plus a photographer; at Sing Out Loud we staff a 4–5 person crew of videographers, a drone operator, and photographers. Tell us what you need for each and we'll build one quote that covers it.

Can you capture keynotes, panels, and testimonials?

Yes. Multi-camera coverage means we can capture full conference sessions, keynotes, and main-stage moments, and we regularly grab on-site testimonials and interviews while the energy's high. Tell us what you need and we'll build it into the quote.

How do you make sure speaker audio is clean?

We capture multiple audio inputs for redundancy, so one failure never costs you the speech. We run a recorder pulling a direct feed from the venue's audio board, and we can add lav mics at the podium when speakers are there for the full remarks. For on-site interviews and testimonials, we use lav mics backed by a second-camera source. You get clean, usable speaker audio — not just room sound.

Can you get aerial / drone footage of our event?

Sometimes — it depends on the location and FAA rules. Aerial drone b-roll of the general area where your event is held may be available to use in your video at no extra cost. Live drone videography or photography during the event isn't included by default — we bring in licensed, insured drone operators for that as an add-on (custom quote; a full day of drone coverage is quoted per flight). All flights comply with FAA regulations and depend on where your event is held.

Do you work at my venue?

Almost certainly. We're local and we've covered events at venues across St. Augustine and St. Johns County — the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, Embassy Suites St. Augustine Beach, Flagler College, the St. Augustine Visitor Information Center, and Francis Field, among others. If we haven't shot your room yet, we'll scout it ahead of time so nothing's a surprise on the day.

Do you travel outside St. Augustine?

Yes. We regularly cover events across St. Augustine, St. Augustine Beach, Ponte Vedra, Jacksonville, and the rest of Northeast Florida. If your event's further out, just ask — we fold any travel into the quote up front, so there are no surprises.

Can you provide a certificate of insurance for our venue?

Yes. We carry $1 million in general liability insurance and can send a certificate of insurance for your venue ahead of the event — including naming the venue as additional insured if they require it.

Can we use the footage in our ads and campaigns?

Yes — you get full usage rights to everything we deliver: website, social, and paid advertising. The Consulate General of Ireland ran our reel as a paid month-long campaign, and SJCCE reuses our festival footage for the next year's ad campaigns. First Sight Films retains ownership of the final deliverables and reserves the right to use the work in our own marketing. We deliver the finished pieces (not raw footage) and archive the raw files for three years.

How far in advance should I book?

The sooner the better — we take a limited number of event dates and the good ones go first, especially in season. If your event is soon, check the date now; we sometimes have room.

What if something goes wrong with the gear?

We bring backups for everything — cameras, audio, power, media. With multi-camera coverage, a single point of failure never costs you the moment. That redundancy is the reason live clients keep coming back.

What makes you different from a freelancer?

Three things: the venues and institutions that already trust us, the fact that we're local and likely already know your room, and the way we treat event coverage as documentary storytelling — not just stage footage. You're hiring a team that's done this hundreds of times and shows up prepared for a moment you can't redo.

Do you cover college graduations and campus events?

Yes. Graduation coverage is photography — Flagler College brings us in to photograph its commencement ceremonies. We don't film or livestream graduations, but we do provide full video coverage for campus conferences, speaker events, homecomings, and fundraising campaigns.
